After appearing on the 2011 series of The Block, the young down-to-earth couple certainly made a name for themselves. Throughout the television series, the couple became popular contestants with their energy, their incredible ability to renovate and re-design, their constant ‘bickering’ and the romantic surprise on auction night when Josh proposed to Jenna.
As the youngest couple to ever appear on The Block, both Josh & Jenna have a considerable amount of renovation and design experience behind them. Before appearing on the television series, the couple had already renovated their first home in Albury and had moved to Melbourne to renovate a second house that they had just purchased at auction.
Given their popularity, Josh and Jenna were invited back to The Block to appear in The Block Allstars in 2013 in Bondi. They created another amazing house and their style and personalities were again another hit in the top rating series. Their passion and ability proved true, where the couple saw themselves win four out of the eight rooms, more than any other couple in The Block’s history.
The popular couple are energetic, hands on and confident. Josh, who can do just about anything, is a qualified plumber. Jenna was a hairdresser by trade, however has found a true passion for renovation, in particular interior styling and decorating. Since The Block, Jenna has completed a Diploma of Interior Design & Decoration at RMIT and is now fully qualified.
Being the lively and vivacious characters as they are, the couple did not stand still for long after the show. Josh & Jenna are married, renovated their Melbourne home, sold this and built an investment townhouse in Melbourne. They also re-renovated their first home in Albury and recently sold this at auction. They are currently finalizing plans for the renovation and build of their ‘long term’ home in Melbourne’s inner city.
Amongst all of this activity, they also started their own style and design business ‘Bicker Design’, the name stemming from their trademark of bickering whilst on the television show. They have also written columns for the Home Magazine for the Herald & Weekly Times, made numerous television appearances and have appeared in campaigns for Burdens Bathrooms, NAB and iinet. They are currently Ambassadors for Beacon Lighting where they launched the ‘Josh and Jenna Range’ of lights and are also Ambassadors for Protector Aluminium. They also make regular public appearances and are always a crowd favourite.
2015 was also an exciting year for Josh and Jenna. They appeared on Channel 9’s new hit show – RENO RUMBLE. The show saw them renovate a whole house each week of the show and we again saw their amazing design flair, work ethic and passion.
In late 2015, Jenna also launched her own Design School. She is now teaching Cert IV in Interior Decoration in Melbourne and it is proving to be very popular where students learn with a hands on approach, whilst also collaborating with design professionals.
In 2017, they welcomed the arrival of their first daughter – Freddie and are loving the new challenges and delights of parenthood.
In the little spare time they have, Josh & Jenna love bike riding, spending time with their dogs, eating out and of course renovating. Josh is also an Ambassador for Diabetes Australia and the JDRF. They never stop! Their chemistry, enthusiasm and unique ability, have earned the couple a broad appeal within the Australian audience. Josh and Jenna are certainly cemented as popular talent in the world of entertainment and the DIY space.
